March, 11, 2013.........If you've never been to Highland County, Va. you have 1 more weekend to get up to the Maple festival.  It is in the mountains in what is called, Virginia's Little Switzerland.....The scenery is lovely and you get to visit the sugar camps and see how maple syrup is made...as well as bring a jug home. Last weekend was great!  The biggest problem is that so many folks come to visit that the cell tower gets overloaded...so bring cash and a checkbook because sometimes it's hard to process your credit cards!  The whole county is involved but most of the happening is in Monterey.  I am in the high school gymnasium with my work.  It is a fun time...don't miss it!!!!    After that I'll be in Chantilly, Va. at the Expo Center... New glass and new designs...come see me.
